My background is in structural engineering. I spent several years working on timber construction projects across the world before moving into design. I'd been obsessing over the tools and interfaces around me for long enough, so decided it was time to stop redesigning them just for fun.
I now consult on UI and UX design, from research and wireframing through to high-fidelity interface design. My engineering training didn't leave me, I still approach design problems the way I approached structural ones: understand the constraints, question the assumptions, find the solution that's both rigorous and elegant.
Outside of client work, I am building Redraft, a web app that gives language learners feedback on their journal entries.
A language journalling web app where users write journal entries in their target language and receive AI-powered feedback on their writing. The app tracks mistakes over time, shows progress, and estimates writing level.
